(ANGOLA) – The Angola Police Department is promoting a member of their department and hiring a new officer.
Angola Mayor David Martin says the Department has promoted Evan Howe to the position of Sergeant, effective July 7. Howe came to the Angola Police Department in 2018 with prior law enforcement background. He will be taking a vacancy on the Department’s second shift.
In addition, Martin says the Department has hired Nicholas Rutherford as their 21st officer. He was sworn in July 7.
Rutherford graduated from Trine in 2024 and is new to law enforcement.
