(UNDATED) – A group of bicyclists will be visiting Steuben County.
For the 24th year, Cops Cycling For Survivors will be taking to the roads around Indiana, supporting the families of fallen police officers and encouraging the public to never forget the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes.
On Monday July 7, the cyclists will leave from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield and head west on their 13 day and 1,000 mile journey that will touch all four corners of the Hoosier State.
On July 11, the cyclists will travel from Mishawaka to Angola, where they will spend the night. Then on July 12 they will head out from Angola and ride to Bluffton.
The ride will end on July 19 in Indianapolis.
Four police officers will be given recognition during the ride for falling in the line of duty. Hendricks County Deputy Sheriff Fred Fislar; Newton County Sheriff’s Corporal Brandon Schreiber; Indiana Department of Corrections Lieutenant Donald Neiswinger Jr., and Indiana Department of Corrections Officer Shawn Burnell.
