NOBLE COUNTY, IN - A woman who pleaded guilty to a charge of child seduction will spent time behind bars for the offense.
Nicole Thornsbearry, age 36, was sentenced in Noble County court to three years, with two of those years to be served in confinement, and a third on probation. Sentencing came after she admitted to sexual relations with a 16-year-old foster child.
Court documents show that Thornsbearry initially denied the allegations. After failing a polygraph test, she admitted that she had a single sexual encounter with the child.
The victim also had initially denied that sexual contact happened, but changed his account.
In addition to the three-year sentence, a no-contact order has been filed and Thornsbearry is barred from foster parenting.
In addition, she will also have to follow standard sex offender probation terms.
