The Allen County Coroner’s Office, with assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the University of Indianapolis Anthropology Department have completed the recovery of the human remains located in a wooded area in the 19900 block of Doehrman Road.

A high percentage of bones were recovered, in the search area. The remains were transported to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center for further examination. The remains will then be sent to the Anthropology Department of the University of Indianapolis for additional examination and potential DNA Testing.

At this time, the Allen County Sheriff's Office are unable to speculate as to the identity of the remains, or the Cause and Manner of Death. As additional information becomes available it will be released to the general public.
