
(UNDATED) – Travel along U.S. 12 this weekend my be a little busier than normal.
The 2025 U.S. 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sale starts Friday and will continue through Sunday. Called “Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale” the event spans over 200 miles along U.S. 12 from New Buffalo to Detroit.
Everything from antiques, collectibles, furniture, dishware, fresh garden produce, homemade jams and jellies, live entertainment and much more will be available. The sales can be found along the highway at homes, farms, businesses, parking lots and fields. Some areas will have large numbers of vendors while others may be scattered.
In addition to the great items you’ll find over the weekend, you will also be privy to incredible stories related to the individuals and the items they sell.
Please remember to drive safely along U.S. 12 this weekend and to slow down. Pay special attention when parking and crossing the highway during the sale. Motorists need to watch for people that may walk out between parked vehicles.
