(UNDATED) – Another arrest has been made in the investigation of smuggling contraband into the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, Michigan.
In May 2023l there was an incident of persons trying to smuggle contraband in the Lakeland facility. The items were intercepted before it reached the prisoners.
A joint investigation was started between the Michigan Department of Corrections and the Michigan State Police into this incident and others with several suspects being identified.
On Friday, Michigan State Police troopers arrested a 24 year old Grand Rapids woman in Kent County on felony charges in connection with this investigation. Her name has not yet been released, pending her arraignment.
