(LAGRANGE) – A new member has been added to the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation team.
Lydia Young has joined the LaGrange County EDC as the new Marketing and Operations Manager. She succeeds Emilee (Fincher) Buller who was recently promoted to Vice President of Community Development and Engagement at the EDC.
Sherri Johnston, President/CEO of the LaGrange County EDC says they are thrilled to welcome Lydia to the team! She says Lydia’s talents and dedication align perfectly with the mission of the EDC, and they’re excited to see the fresh perspectives and energy she'll bring to the continued work in LaGrange County.
Young is originally from West Virginia. After attending and graduating West Virginia University, she moved to LaGrange County to marry her now husband, Zach Young. Lydia obtained a B.S. in Animal and Nutritional Sciences. After moving to Indiana, she started working at a local poultry company in LaGrange County. During her time at this company, Young held various roles that allowed her to work with the farm families in LaGrange County and surrounding areas. She also worked within Marketing and Communications where she learned more about the internal and external communication of company messaging, collaboration, planning, and the LaGrange County community.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending time with her family, walking, being in her flower garden, and on the farm with her daughter and husband.
Young says that although she did not grow up in LaGrange County, this is now her home where she will raise her family. She says she is excited to join the LaGrange County EDC to learn more about the community and to help progress the community forward where local businesses and residents, both current and future, will prosper.
