Today will mark the beginning of an active period of weather with several chances of rain.
The National Weather Service says a lull in the higher rain chances is expected this morning, but showers and a few embedded thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this afternoon into this evening.
Forecasters say another round of showers and scattered thunderstorms is then expected mainly during the overnight hours tonight into early Thursday morning.
