INDIANAPOLIS — The latest unemployment numbers have rolled in from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, and Northeast Indiana saw a decline in December over November.
Among the lowest in Northeast Indiana are Steuben and Whitley counties coming in at 1.9% for December. Steuben County is down from 2.0% in November, while Whitley County is down from and 2.2%.
LaGrange County went down from 2.5% in November, which sent them back to their previous range of 2.0% for December.
DeKalb County dropped to 2.0% from 2.3% in November
Noble County registered 2.5% in December, down from 2.8% in November, while Allen County came in at 2.2% from 2.7% in November.
All of these recently reported rates are still above the record lows from a year ago.
