WATERLOO, IN - A pregnant woman was injured during a car crash Monday morning.
Deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department responded to the 300 block of County Road 39 in Waterloo at 11:20 a.m. for a reported crash. Investigators say 24-year-old Alexis Bennett was headed south on County Road 39 when she lost control of the Trailblazer she was driving.
The vehicle drove east off the road before crashing into a telephone pole.
A passenger, identified as Kaitlin Dove, age 26, was 34 weeks pregnant and complained of stomach pains after the accident.
The car is totaled as a result of the crash.
