Hoosier GOP has House Votes on Redistricting
Friday, September 24, 2021

INDIANAPOLIS- State Republicans have achieved success in pushing their party's redrawing of Indiana's congressional and legislative seats through the Indiana House.

Objections that the new maps give the GOP an excessive partisan advantage were dismissed. House members voted 67-31 Thursday largely on party lines to endorse the redistricting plan.

The vote sends the maps to the state Senate for possible final approval next week.

The new election districts would take effect next year and be in place through the 2030 elections.
