BURR OAK – The Village of Burr Oak is alive with events and activities for the weekend.
The 2021 Burr Oak Heritage Festival is underway. Today's events include the bike-a-thon; free kids day events at Burr Oak Schools along with the free kiddie duck derby at 4 PM. At 4:40 PM is the free floatable/boatable raft race. The antique tractors and wheat threshing display will be happening from 4:30 PM until 7 PM. There will also be a port-a-pit chicken dinner in the Gazebo parking lot, and the free spaghetti dinner at the Burr Oak Missionary Church.
Starting at 6:30 PM will be the variety show and outstanding service award presentation at the Burr Oak Lutheran Church. D.J. “Wild Bill” Hecht will be in the big tent from 7:30 PM until midnight. The Miss Burr Oak Contest starts at 8 PM in the Big Tent, and there will be a sock hop from 9 PM until midnight at the Mamma Mia's Pizza and Beverage Tent.
