MONGO – A LaGrange man was arrested following a short foot chase.
At 1 PM Friday, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant on 29 year old Dusty Edmondson in the 2300 North block of State Road 3 south of Mongo. Deputies were speaking with Edmondson, who took off running and a foot chase ensued.
The chase went north along State Road 3 where deputies attempted to taser Edmondson, which was ineffective. K-9 Officer Klara was deployed as the chase went north past County Road 250 North, when Klara was able to apprehend Edmondson shortly after he entered the wood line.
Edmondson was taken into custody after a brief altercation with deputies. He was treated and released by Parkview LaGrange Medics for a dog bite to the leg.
Edmondson was booked into the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, possession of meth, identity deception and for outstanding felony warrants out of LaGrange County.
Indiana State Police and the LaGrange Police Departments assisted in the investigation.
