KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, IN - A man was killed in a boating accident over the weekend on Indiana’s Lake Wawasee Saturday evening.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources say emergency responders were called on a report that a person was struck by a boat. Reports indicate Nathaniel Mroz, age 20 of Fortville, Indiana was tubing on the lake with two others, and they were tossed off. As the boat maneuvered to retrieve them, Mroz was struck by the boat.
The boaters pulled Mroz onto the boat, unconscious. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office.
Investigators say Mroz was wearing a lifejacket at the time of the accident.
The incident remains under investigation. DNR investigators say those involved in the incident were cooperating with the investigation.
