A Coldwater man was handed down a one year jail sentence, as well as being placed on probation for two years Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
55-year-old James Donald Hanna entered a guilty plea to an amended count of unarmed robbery. Charges of armed robbery and felony firearms were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea, and Hanna was given credit for 210 days already served in jail.
Hanna was arrested at his Peckham Street home back on May 13th of this year following the robbery on South Jefferson Street. A brief standoff with police took place before the arrest.
