Jobless rates in all five northeast Indiana counties rose during July according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
LaGrange County’s rate went from 2.7 percent in June to 3.2 percent in July.
The number of job holders fell by 24 and the number of unemployed rose by 111. A year ago LaGrange County’s rate was 2.8 percent.
Other counties also posted increases. Elkhart County going from 3.0 to 3.6 percent, DeKalb County from 2.8 to 3.1%, Noble County from 3.0 to 3.8 percent. Steuben County from 2.6 to 2.8 percent.
